Star Whale Calf

The old pods sang their way across the sky above Starship Reach before the sky got complicated. This calf stayed behind, or was left, or chose — whale reasons. Its hide carries real constellations and its song knits wounds closed. Taming it takes more patience than most people have; riding it feels less like transport and more like being forgiven for something.
