Everything in Troll Hollow has learned to leave the little screaming turnips alone. Not because they are dangerous — although the scream can strip bark at ten paces — but because once one starts, the others join in, and then it is a choir, and the choir does requests. The Mandrake's resting face is one-third of a scream. This is its calmest state. Plan accordingly.
